2. The Process First you will choose a sport. You will research that sport using www.factmonster.comwww.factmonster.com You will take notes on the history and fun facts about that sport in your packet. You will use the step by step instructions to create a 4 slide PowerPoint presentation. You will save your work to the Elementary School folder. You will evaluate your work using the rubric. You will submit your work online using Miss Williams’s Technology page from her site by November 12, 2015.

3. Part One Choose a sport you are interested in. – It can be something common or something more unusual like dance or snowboarding. – However, there must be information on www.factmonster.com for you to use. – All information must come from www.factmonster.com.

4. Part Two Log on to www.factmonster.comwww.factmonster.com Research the history of your sport. Write down 4 facts on the history of the sport – when it was invented, who invented it, where it was invented, etc. Research fun facts about your sport. Write down 4 fun facts about your sport – famous record holders, unusual people who participated, etc.

5. Part Three Open PowerPoint from the Start menu. Following the list of instructions, create your PowerPoint presentation. Save your PowerPoint presentation to the Elementary Student folder, using the name format on your instructions.

6. Part Four Using your rubric, from your packet, check to make sure you have all the requirements. Remember, spelling and grammar count. Read your presentation to yourself to make sure it makes sense. Only if you are finished early will you be able to experiment with effects, sound, and design elements. When you are satisfied with your work, go to the Technology page and submit your work under the assignments section. Make sure you named your work correctly.

7. Your Timeline Week One – Oct. 19-20 – Research on www.factmonster.comwww.factmonster.com Weeks Two & Three – Oct. 26-27 & Nov. 2-4 – Create your PowerPoint Presentation Weeks Three & Four – Nov. 2-4 & Nov. 10-12 – Finish and submit your presentation online
