2 Senses of Scripture – 1. Literal The author intended the words to mean directly and precisely what is written in narrative or through figurative language (metaphors & parables). Academic 2. Spiritual Sense The words and stories of Scripture are symbolic representations that speak religious truth. Prayer, Morality
