8 Challenges to Public, IO, Private Sector Need in policy to use strategically increased ODA - to secure stable natural resource - to raise national brand value Need to be fair in distributing fund in highly competitive condition - The more diverse project, the less fund size Difficulty to get government’s official funding - many governments generally neglect to donate the contribution to UN New agenda like MDG → More projects → More need for fund source Domestic IT market is saturated - No. of Mobile phone subscribers in Korea (2009. July) : 47 mils./49 mils. - No. of Broadband subscribers in Korea (2009. June) : 16 mils./49 mils. Need for local friendly image and diplomatic relation building abroad Int’l norm like UN Global Compact pressure to corporate activities (CSR) - CSR becomes one of the criteria to get investment, eg. Social Responsibility Index (SRI) - (APWINC joined UNGC in March of 2009)
