Matt. 25: 14-30  “What do you do?” or “What are your talents?”  God gives talents to everyone!  “God gave gifts to men…” Psalm 68:10  Talent was unit of weight, then unit of money…  …our word for talent comes from this parable.  Talent = “The ability which, when used in Jesus’ name, enables you to be of service to others to the glory of God”  Talents are God working in/through His people.

3. How Many Talents? Matt. 25: 14-30  Three people are given talents, one is YOU!  Dangers in waking sleeping talents?  -Making comparisons.  -Superiority complex.  -Not understanding the nature of talents.  Two servants equally faithful -doubled the talents.  One servant tried to do nothing, did it perfectly!  He made excuses, and was treated harshly.  Do your best for God, a masterpiece will result!
