Is God faithful? God is faithful to us meaning that He does what He promises and that he is reliable and dependable. I Thess. 5:24 “Faithful is he who has called you who will also do it.” 2 Tim. 2:13 “If we are faithless, He remains faithful for He cannot deny Himself” God always delivers on His promises! Examples:
11
Example: Abraham and Sarah God promised this couple that they would have a child in their old age: And it came to pass Heb. 11:11 “By faith Sarah herself also received strength to conceive seed, and she bore a child When she was past the age, because she judged Him FAITHFUL WHO HAD PROMISED. Sarah, because of God’s faithfulness, though she Was past the age of child bearing bore a son.
12
Deut. 7:9 Know therefore that the Lord your God Is God: he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant Of love to a thousand generations of those who love Him and keep his commands. A promise that God made and He keeps!! “There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. (I Cor. 10:13) “ GOD IS FAITHFUL! Even when it comes to temptation… He does not allow us to be tempted beyond what we are able to bear. God even makes a way of escape for us so that we don’t fall.
13
God expects us to be faithful. Everyone does not have the same opportunities: Nor do we all have the same abilities. BUT WE ALL HAVE SOMETHING!! In the parable of the talents : Jesus is the Master and His servants are us. Matt. 25:14-30
14
What does it mean to us to be faithful at O’Neal? Answer: It means to be stedfast or consistent in Allegiance or affection. A faithful person does not Waver. They are always there. Faithfulness is not a common character trait! It is rare! Matt. 7:13-14 FEW.. Will that Mean you?? Faithfulness is not an option we choose. God expects Us to be faithful to Him, and He seeks men and women Who will live so as to consistently carry out His will! I Sam. 2:35 “ And I will raise me up a faithful priest, That shall do according to that which is in mine heart And in my mind. “ Balaam: I can only speak and do What God says!! Num.22:18 And Balaam answered and said unto the servants of Balak, If Balak would give me his house full of silver and gold, I cannot go beyond the word of the L ORD my God, to do less or more.
