Lufthansa FlyNet ® September 2010 Seite 1 Lufthansa FlyNet ® – the first broadband internet service on long-haul flights Working with partner Panasonic Avionics Corporation, Lufthansa is the first airline to implement a broadband internet service on board long-haul flights: FlyNet ® Thanks to outstanding performance and transmission speed, FlyNet ® provides passengers with a unique surfing experience In all classes: once cruising altitude is reached, First, Business and Economy Class passengers can go online Starts 2010: on selected North Atlantic routes Until end 2011: phased expansion to the entire long-haul network

Lufthansa FlyNet ® September 2010 Seite 2 Lufthansa FlyNet ® – full freedom to communicate on board via WLAN Unlimited use of the internet brings flexibility in terms of time and location Unrivalled good connection with high transmission speed, comparable to that offered at a public hotspot Passengers can access their company intranet (Virtual Private Network) E-mails can be sent and received without delay, even with large file attachments Online access via the free FlyNet ® portal to the latest news from business, politics, sport and society – updated up to every 15 minutes

Lufthansa FlyNet ® September 2010 Seite 3 Lufthansa FlyNet ® – full freedom to communicate on board via GSM too From spring 2011 also via GSM: - send and receive SMS/MMS messages - e-mail synchronisation of smartphones such as Blackberry, PDA, etc. The ability to make mobile phone calls on board has been disabled in response to the wishes of a majority of our customers

Lufthansa FlyNet ® September 2010 Seite 4 Lufthansa FlyNet ® – simple and flexible The FlyNet ® sign on board indicates: The service is available here The service provider for the FlyNet ® WLAN service is Deutsche Telekom Access is possible via any WLAN-enabled device (e.g. laptop or smartphone) On opening the browser, the passenger is connected directly to the free FlyNet ® portal There they will find the latest news as well as information on the service offer

Lufthansa FlyNet ® September 2010 Seite 5 Lufthansa FlyNet ® – a variety of ways to pay Billing without an account by credit card or by redeeming Miles & More miles: HotSpot Pass Sky 1 hr:€10.95 or 3,500 miles HotSpot Pass Sky 24 hrs:€19.95 or 7,000 miles - HotSpot Pass Sky 24 hrs: use possible even after the flight in Lufthansa lounges or on other flights equipped with FlyNet ® - the passenger receives an invoice by e-mail directly after purchase Billing also possible via Deutsche Telekom or affiliated roaming partners: - prices in accordance with customer’s individual contract - billing via customer’s monthly internet/telephone statement Introductory Offer: Until 31 January 2011 Lufthansa customers will be able to surf without limit and without charge.

Lufthansa FlyNet ® September 2010 Seite 6 Lufthansa FlyNet ® – impressively simple even with GSM To use the GSM services, available from spring 2011, passengers will be able to switch on their GSM/GPRS-enabled device when the aircraft reaches cruising altitude The only prerequisite is a roaming agreement between their mobile phone service provider and AeroMobile Prices are set by the passenger’s relevant mobile phone service provider and are based on international roaming charges Billing is via the passenger’s next mobile phone statement The ability to make phone calls on board via GSM has been disabled
