1 1.Read directions carefully. 2.Have handout ready. 3.Choose the most challenging word from your vocabulary list. 4.Next, open the FreeSaurus app. 5.Use the app to locate as many synonyms and antonyms you can find for your challenging word (you must find at least 2 synonyms and 2 antonyms.) Checklist Did you record the answers in the correct boxes? Did you write at least 2 synonyms and 2 antonyms for your challenging word? This task uses: FreeSaurus Learning Objective(s): The student will identify both synonyms and antonyms for the most challenging spelling word. Locating Synonyms and Antonyms

2 Creating A Wordle 1.Use your chart from Task 1. 2.Use the Microsoft Word app to type your words. 3.Use spell check to make sure your words are spelled correctly. 4.Select All and copy these words to your “clipboard”. 5.Open the app called “Wordsalad”. 6.Paste the challenging word you selected to create a Wordle. 7.When you finish this activity, you will save it to the camera roll. Checklist Did you use spell check from pages? Did you save your picture to the camera roll? This task uses: Microsoft Word & Wordsalad Learning Objective(s): The student will use the challenging word’s synonyms and antonyms identified to create a Wordle.

3 Creating QR Codes 1.Create a list of 5 or more mystery words you would like your partner to find the synonyms and antonyms. 2.Use the QR maker and enter the words you would like to use into the app. 3.Print the QR codes. 4.Your partner will use the QR codes to find the mystery words. 5.They will then use the chart given to list synonyms and antonyms for the mystery word. Checklist Did you enter 5 or more words? Did you enter them into the QR code maker? Did you print the QR codes? This task uses: Learning Objective(s): The student will create a list of words and enter them into the QR code maker. Their partner will scan those codes to find the mystery word and create a list of synonyms and antonyms.

4 Synonym/Antonym iMovie 1.Use your list from task 1. 2.Create a trailer using iMovie app to define synonyms and antonyms. 3.You will also include examples of synonyms and antonyms. 4.Save your iMove with your teacher’s homeroom name and your number. Example: Manuel25 5.Open Mrs. Manuel’s blackboard and add your video to “Mrs. Manuel’s Video” discussion board”. 6.View one other student’s video from a different homeroom and respond to it with questions or suggestions. Checklist Did you include the definitions of synonyms and antonyms? Did you include examples of both? Did you load your trailer to discussion board? This task uses: iMovie Learning Objective(s): The student will give the definitions of synonyms and antonyms, and they will also give examples in a video.
