Civilization of Rome The city of Rome arose on the Appeninsky peninsula which Greeks called Italy, according to the name of one of the tribes occupying this territory.

The Greek colonists made very big contribution in formation of a civilization: they taught Romans to occupation by agriculture, acquainted with religion. Thus, a favorable environment and influence of more developed cultures promoted development of the Roman civilization. Civilization of Rome

The world of Ancient Rome which was created and was kept by generations of the different people, was the new world, surprising, awful, amazing, educated, but at the same time gloomy, cruel. But it was the world which we can hardly not notice as it in many respects made us such what we are.
