Note technique 01 Spider THP 2009 NOT SPI-80 ‹#› Engine Timing chain’s tensioner : To enhance the tension of the chain, it is compulsory to put a new tensioner, which provides with a better strain. (170N instead of 80N) Removal/Reassembly of the tensioner : -Separate the upper air canalisation from the lower one -Loosen the lower clamp of the vertical canalisation and topple backwards as shown on the picture. - the flywheel (see the method below) -Remove the tensioner with a 27-key -Assembly the new tensioner  tightening torque 6.5m.daN. -Reassembly all parts and do not forget to tighten the clamps (lower and upper) and to remove the flywheel Nota : This process does not require any adjustement on the timing. Warning : Before removing the tensioner, protect the coolant pump’s pulley because oil might run on it. After the removal, degrease the whole area if necessary. The tensioner and its gasket are available at the Racing This new tensioner is recognizable on the engine thnaks to a Ø6 drilling on the top, as shown on the opposite picture. This new tensioner will be available soon under the reference 0829 G3.

Note technique 01 Spider THP 2009 NOT SPI-80 ‹#› Gearbox « ERRATUM » : Connector on gearbox command solenoid valve : Do not take into account the modification we advise in the technical note #2. You must keep or come back to the set-up with crimped terminal lugs. Solenoid valves’ beam During the race in Dijon, we have noticed that the solenoid valve’s beam was victim of « verdigris » shaping causing a damage on the cable’s continuity. We advise you to change this beam. Ref : 90 391 610 8C Gearbox command : solenoid valve block To enhance the solenoid valve block’s assembly, we advise you to use the following parts. Note technique 01 Spider THP 2009 NOT SPI-80 ‹#› Gearbox Air circuit : In order to reduce as much as possible the condensation in the air circuit, we advise you to bleed the system regularly with the screw on the accumulator (see picture below). We also advise you to wash the compressor’s air filter. You can use a special oil (very fluid, e.G : ISO VG 15) to lubricate the air circuit. Method to settle the gearbox’s potentiometer : To settle the potentiometer : - Put the gearbox in neutral - Pre-settle the potentiometer at its theorical value, 380mV - Shift up (1 …6) - Shift down (6 …1) If, in « R », you see a ?, you have to adjust the value with meticulous care, while paying attention not to be over the settling area in 6th gear. Note technique 01 Spider THP 2009 NOT SPI-80 ‹#› Suspension, brakes Anti-roll bar front and rear : Precision : you can drive with the anti-roll bars_front and rear unplugged. (see page 47 technical note #1 2008). The anti-roll bars must be on your Spider at any moment of a race. Minimal thickness of brake discs front and rear Fronthand : minimal thickness 28mm Backhand : minimal thickness 24mm REMINDER : It is strictly forbidden to manufacture any part of your Spider.

Note technique 01 Spider THP 2009 NOT SPI-80 ‹#› Automatic fire extinguisher: SECOND REMINDER The following information must appear on the fire extinguisher: - capacity - type of the extinguisher product - weight or volume of the extinguisher product - verification date of the extinguisher. This date cannot be more than two years after the filling date, or after the last verification’s date, or the corresponding validity limit. This measure was already compulsory after the distribution of written information before you left Nogaro. Safety
