6 Facilities Energy from Waste, Colnbrook processes in excess of 410,000 tonnes of residual waste generating 34MW of electricity for export via the National Grid – enough to power c.50,000 homes. Clinical & Hazardous Waste Incinerator, Colnbrook for high temperature incineration of clinical and hazardous waste streams Hydroclave, Knowl Hill for treatment of clinical waste. Landfill Sites Grundon own & operate sites at Knowl Hill & Bishops Cleeve. Our Bishops Cleeve site includes a separate hazardous waste landfill as well as a facility for the treatment of APC residue. Materials Recovery Facilities Grundon operate three MRF’s located at Colnbrook, Leatherhead & Beenham. Along with a Construction MRF at Ewelme.

7 Awareness & Cost Improvement Initiatives Training to improve the capture of recyclate Waste & recycling awareness days to encourage take up of recycling and answer questions from staff Bespoke posters and literature to assist with raising awareness Provision of corridor boxes and desk top trays to further increase recycling Utilisation of modern MRF technology to increase the amount of recyclable product able to be accepted within the recycling Rationalisation of containers on site, allowing for reduced number of collections and lower transport costs Food waste recycling Landfill diversion options available
