Daily Life Life at Mission San Carlos Borremeo was very regimented. The friars were accustomed to rigorous discipline and expected the same from the neophytes. The Esselen were required to work most of the day and learn to follow Catholic practices that had little or nothing to do with their own beliefs or lifestyle.
11
Hardships. The hardships of Mission San Carlos Borremeo del Rio Carmelo were that the diseases were small pox (brought over by the Euripians), sadly most of the children died under four years old and only about three out of ten lived to be teenagers.
12
Conclusion My conclusion is that Mission San Carlos Borremeo del Rio Carmelo is very beautiful mission and that even if you are different like the Indians you should treat every body the same and that you should be happy where you live now because life was very hard on the missions.
13
Interesting Facts The interesting facts about this mission are that this mission is the princess of the Missions and it is the second of the California Missions.
