Spread the News!! Advertise your events in IOM3 magazines; on the website; Twitter; Facebook If you don’t advertise your events no-one will come!! Grant!! Important that event managers put their events on the website – no-one else can. Don’t want empty regional pages with no events displayed

Adding an Event Very easy! Takes a few minutes per event You can personalise it to fit your local society Email alerts – encourage your members to register (if IOM3 members) – keep them up to date. If you update your event another email alert goes out

Adding an Event (2) Once you have been emailed by IOM3 web services to confirm that your site account has been enabled to create events, please follow these instructions. Links open in a new window/tab 1) Go to www.iom3.org/login and log in to the site (if you have not already done so). 2) Go to www.iom3.org/node/add/event 3) Fill in the various fields with the details of your event. Tips on what to put in specific fields are given below. Fields marked * are mandatory. Try to enter as much information as you can, as not only will this be more helpful for the user, but the more 'keywords' you get onto the event form, the higher the chance will be of your event being picked up by search engines. Note however that there are fields for links to other websites, so if your event already appears in full elsewhere on the internet, you can simply link to it rather than reproducing all the information on the IOM3 site. 4) When you've completed the form click 'submit' at the bottom of the page. You will then be taken to an UNPUBLISHED page displaying your event as it will look to other users after it has been moderated and published. You are recommended to bookmark/favourite this page in your browser for easy access later. If you wish to change something, you can edit the event by clicking the 'edit' tab below the event title, making your change and resubmitting the form. 5) When you have finished editing your event please notify by email one of the following IOM3 staff according to the type of event you have set up: IOM3 local society event - efi.fragkou@iom3.org
