To Boldly Go.

To Boldly Go

Romans 15 14 I myself am convinced, my brothers, that you yourselves are full of goodness, complete in knowledge and competent to instruct one another. 15 I have written to you quite boldly on some points, as if to remind you of them again, because of the grace God gave me 16 to be a minister of Christ Jesus to the Gentiles with the priestly duty of proclaiming the gospel of God, so that the Gentiles might become an offering acceptable to God, sanctified by the Holy Spirit.

The Message  Encouragement 1 Thessalonians 5: 11 and Jude 20  Paul’s Example He has “Boldly Go’ed” Gentile Gospel Job done To Boldly Go again  15: 19 by the power of signs and miracles, through the power of the Spirit. So from Jerusalem all the way round to Illyricum, I have fully proclaimed the gospel of Christ.

The Experience  Only by the Holy Spirit demonstrated Beware imposters  Only the presence of Jesus Galatians 1: 1 Paul an apostle — sent neither by human commission nor from human authorities, but through Jesus Christ and God the Father, who raised him from the dead  To Boldly Go – new frontiers Romans 15: 20 It has always been my ambition to preach the gospel where Christ was not known.

“Worldwide” Universal Church  Generous support from leaders  Generous support through giving  ACBC / Elim Partnership

Paul the Achiever  Knows his role in the church - Apostle of Jesus Christ (Many letters) to the Gentiles (Romans 11:13)  “Job done”  “They shall bring all your kindred from all the nations as an offering to the Lord, on horses, and in chariots, and in litters, and on mules, and on dromedaries, to my holy mountain Jerusalem, says the Lord, just as the Israelites bring a grain-offering in a clean vessel to the house of the Lord” Isaiah 66:20 see also Ezekiel 36:22-28

Role of Women  I commend to you our sister Phoebe, a deacon of the church at Cenchreae, so that you may welcome her in the Lord as is fitting for the saints, and help her in whatever she may require from you, for she has been a benefactor of many and of myself as well. Romans 16:1-2  Used her own resources for others Defend Christians Sponsor missionaries Prepare the way for Paul?

Role of Women / Families  Greet Andronicus and Junia, my relatives who were in prison with me; they are prominent among the apostles, and they were in Christ before I was. Romans 16:7  Greet Priscilla and Aquila, my fellow- workers in Christ Jesus. They risked their lives for me. Not only I but all the churches of the Gentiles are grateful to them. Romans 16:3-4  Paul – Apostle of Christ  Priscilla and Aquila – “Apostles” of the Church

Watch out – Satan About! .. those who cause divisions and put obstacles in your way that are contrary to the teaching you have learned Keep away from them. For such people are not serving our Lord Christ, but their own appetites. By smooth talk and flattery they deceive the minds of naïve people. Romans 16:17-18  Be wise about what is good, and innocent about what is evil.  The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. Romans 16:20

To Boldly Go  Romans 1:5 through whom we have received grace and apostleship to bring about the obedience of faith among all the Gentiles for the sake of his name  Romans 16:26 … but is now disclosed, and through the prophetic writings is made known to all the Gentiles, according to the command of the eternal God, to bring about the obedience of faith.

Be bold, be strong, For the Lord your God is with you. Be bold, be strong, For the Lord your God is with you. I am not afraid, I am not dismayed, Because I’m walking in faith and victory, Come on and walk in faith and victory, For the Lord your God is with you. Morris Chapman.
