What do Black Tips eat? Black Tip sharks eat shrimp, smaller Black Tip sharks and anything that people throw in the ocean like cans, license plates and garbage.

How does it find its prey? They find its prey whenever they want by blending in with the top of the water then they get them by sneaking up on their prey.

Where are Black Tips found? Black Tips are found in shallow water and coral reefs of the tropical Pacific and Indian Oceans, the Australian Pacific Ocean, and the central Pacific Ocean.

What do the Black Tip Sharks look like? They can grow up to 6 feet long. This shark has a pointed snout. They can weigh up to one hundred pounds! Even when its mouth is closed you can see its teeth. That’s how sharp their teeth are.

How did it get its name? It got its name because they have a Black Tip on their dorsal fins, second dorsal fins and the anal fins.

Is it prey for another animal? The Orca Whale and giant Hammer Heads eat them.

How does it swim? It swims fast and can even leap out of the water, but before returning it spins a couple of times. It is the only shark that is able to do this.

How fast does it swim? It is a fast swimming shark. It is one of the fastest sharks.

How dangerous is the Black Tip Shark? The Black Tip Shark is very dangerous; If you touch it, it eats you!
