4 Indiana Resource Team Ball State University; Indiana Grantmakers Alliance; Indiana Office of Community & Rural Affairs; Indiana Rural Development Council; Purdue University; USDA – Rural Development;

5 Home Town Competitiveness Team Nebraska The HTC is owned & licensed by a consortium of Nebraska development organizations; The Indiana Resource Team has engaged HTC for consultant services during Phase I; Thanks to the Nebraska team for all of their leadership and support throughout this pilot initiative!!!

6 Site Coaches Represents the Indiana Resource Team; Strategic leader; Co-directs process activities with Community Coordinator; Is both a mentor and coach – Champion of the Process

7 Pillar Specialists Provides pillar expertise to community pillar task forces; Supports the task forces by providing information via attendance at meetings and/or conference call-in.

8 Pillar Specialists (cont.) Mobilizing local leaders & building civic capacity; Energizing local entrepreneurs; Capturing wealth transfer to raise development dollars; Attracting young people.

9 Pillar Specialists (cont.) Will I be reimbursed for time and expenses? – Reimbursement via own (Indiana Resource Team) organization; – Reimbursement via pilot community (limited basis). How do I become a pillar specialist? – Complete and return a Pillar Specialist Data Form; – Return form to Don or Andrew

10 Community Steering Committee Community Owns the Initiative: Acts as temporary board of directors; Members include community leaders, Community Coordinator, and task force representatives; Guides & oversees the Phase I process;

11 Community Coordinator Works in a team approach with Site Coach; Community strategic leader; Co-directs day-to-day activities of the initiative; Champion of the Community Outcome.

12 Pillar Task Force Members Community members key to successful Phase I process. Pillar task forces include: Entrepreneurship; Leadership; Youth; Charitable Giving.
