It’s finally time to start … Thompson’s Holiday Club! Holiday Caroling Club Information 2015 Thompson’s Holiday Club starts on Tuesday, November 17 th, after school in the choir room! Don’t miss the chance to learn how to go caroling with your friends! See Mrs. Kleinmaier for details

7 th and 8 th GRADE GIRLS TRYOUTS FOR THE GIRLS BASKETBALL TEAMS WILL BE DECEMBER 14, 15 & 16 ALL GIRLS INTERESTED IN TRYING OUT FOR THE TEAM MUST REGISTER ON LINE USING 8to18. INSTRUCTIONS FOR 8to18 RESISTRATION ARE IN THE MAIN OFFICE. ALL GIRLS NEED TO HAVE A CURRENT PHYSICAL ON FILE IN ORDER TO TRYOUT. IF THE ARE ANY QUESTIONS PLEASE SEE MR. TORREZ OR MR. PUCKETT

Pillar of the Month: CARING These celebrities do more than entertain us, they CARE about others and they show it: Bulls superstar, Derrick Rose donated $1 million to an after school teen program in Chicago NFL player, Eli Manning gave $1 million to the University of Mississippi to give to students as scholarships so they could afford to attend the college Singer Taylor Swift donated $100,000 to the Red Cross in Cedar Rapids, Iowa to help the residents after a flood, among many other charities that she has helped Many celebrities give money and time to worthy causes. We might not have a million dollars to give someone, but what are some things we can do to help others? Wilson, 2015

TOYS FOR TOTS As of today, we have collected just over 789 toys! That means we will be calling people this week to receive prizes from local businesses! Stay tuned! We are 111 toys away from our school goal! Here are the totals so far: In first place so far is Mr. Nassis’s homeroom with 137 toys! In second place is Mr. Donovan’s homeroom with 81 toys! In third place, Mrs. Kleinmaier’s Homeroom-“1” with 78 toys!! Honorable mention is Mrs. Sackmann/Mrs. Hamptom’s combined homeroom with 61 toys!! Remember, the top two collecting homerooms will have doughnuts provided AND earn free time in the gym! Our collection ends on Dec. 16-ONE WEEK FROM TODAY If we reach: 900 toys= We will be able to pie THE OSWEGO Fire Chief at our Toys for Tots Assembly on Dec. 18!!! We are only 111 toys away!!!! Our next collection will be this Friday! If we can collect 150 or more toys this week, then we will be showing a movie during all lunch periods on a day during the week of Dec. 14! We are so close to reaching this goal!

ART CLUB Art Club will NOT be meeting on Monday next week, but on TUESDAY instead. Remember this is our white elephant/pizza party. We will meet in the cafeteria. See you all on Tuesday!

NJHS MEMBERS SCHEDULE CHANGE: Our Holiday Pot-Luck and Secret Santa will be on Wednesday, December 16th, this week! Don't forget to bring your Secret Santa gift and a snack or dish to share with everyone!
