9. Conceptual Design  Our design services start with the overall design of the fire protection systems based on inputs such as:  Fire risk analysis results  Comparison with regulatory standards and requirements  Best practices  Client requirements

Conceptual Design  The National Building Regulations makes provision for two design approaches which can be adopted when designing the fire protection measures for a building, namely:  Compliance with prescriptive rules as laid down in SABS 0400 Code of Practice or  Performance-based design (also called Rational design)
