8 An Action Plan Start with completing a lesson plan. Articulate and share your assumptions about learning and teaching. Think of the real-life domain from which you are going to select your themes and notions. Specify the communicative functions of the lesson. Decide on the language knowledge necessary to fulfill the functions.

9 An Action Plan Plan the overall picture of the lesson. Determine the task type(s). Decide on the sequence of the tasks. Write the tasks. Share them with some colleagues. Revise them and make any necessary changes. If possible, pilot the lesson with some students in real situations.
