3 Who are the hosts of the CWM 2016 Assembly? Rev Dr Hong Jung Lee General Secretary The Presbyterian Church of Korea

4 Where will the assembly be held? Jeju, a South Korean island in the Korea Strait It is defined by its volcanic landscape full of craters and cavelike lava tubes.

5 Where is Jeju Island? South Korea 1,848 km²

6 What are the dates? 14 June Youth arrive for youth Pre-assembly 17 June The rest of us arrive for General Assembly 24 June We all go home (reluctantly)

7 Who else will be there? About 129 delegates from 32 churches from 41 countries. Current Directors of the Council Ecumenical Guests Speakers and resource persons Other invited guests Support Staff from CWM and PCK

8 Do I need a visa to travel to Jeju? Not for direct flights to Jeju Island, but… …you might need one for transit countries including through Seoul, Korea Delegates must apply for their own visas Your passport must be valid for more than 6 months from date of travel

9 How will the Logistics team help you? They will advise you on your visa needs and send you supporting docs to make the application if you need any visa They will arrange all your flights and for you to be met at the airport in Jeju They will answer any travel related questions e.g. Are you covered by the CWM travel insurance? Who will help me with visa costs?

13 My room or our room? Our room, but not our bed. Delegates will share rooms There will be 2 beds in each room sharing All rooms ensuite

14 How far away is the assembly venue from the hotel? Just a short trip down the lift! We will use the hotel ballroom for the Assembly meetings. Meetings will start daily from 8.30am to 5.30pm followed by Dinner at 7pm With tea/coffee/lunch and other pit stops in between of course.

15 Who will take care of my meals and incidentals? Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner will be arranged by CWM. Specific venues to be advised, but will be within same hotel. Room service (including items from mini bar), International phone calls, alcoholic beverages and other incidentals will be at individual’s expense.

16 What other services will be available at the hotel? Complimentary use of WIFI Complimentary use of Swimming pool Currency exchange at front desk Volcano fountain show Complimentary use of internet lounge Gym and spa (at your own expense)

17 Packing for Jeju Do I need to bring anything from my church to the assembly? Weather will be warm and temperature will range between 24° and 17°C with light rain showers. One is advised to bring light cotton clothes. Formal dress attire for church visit. Your country’s traditional dress for cultural night Travel adaptor Medication, if applicable Help me pack wisely. What is Jeju like in June? Flags of your church, where applicable One replica of your country’s national symbol/monument, where portable to do so at no extra baggage cost
