Courses Courses available in English see Course Catalogue for course requirements Look from the WebOodi check the Web and the Notice Board for possible changes to course requirements for new courses if questions, ask the teachers (professors / assistants) Credits local credit = ECTS credit special arrangements (more or less credits) with the tutor can be possible Grades from 5 (excellent) to 1 (sufficient) or pass/fail

Methods of Teaching Lectures and seminars on a general theme or on a special topic possibly lecture test ( max. two times) may... 1) give extra points to be used in the written examination or 2) compensate book(s) in the written examination or 3) give credits for the course as such or 4) be an obligatory prerequisite for the written examination Essays and other papers Required reading + Written examination N.B. requirements for courses and possible changes! Meet the course director, if possible (e.g. at lectures)! N.B. prior registration to courses of other faculties!

Your Personal Study Plan Check the courses and lectures available in English Faculty of Law other faculties ASP, RSP, ICP, Barents etc. Make your own personal study plan Compare to your Learning Agreement If questions, contact the local staff Contact your home university and have approval to possible changes Update the Learning Agreement and have it signed

Lectures and Seminars Always attend the first session! Lectures are voluntary or obligatory Attendance is controlled A lecture test may be arranged Always check the timetable and possible changes on the Web and the Notice Board Take advantage of all the lectures given in English!

Written Examinations Taken on the general exam dates Register in advance with a special form books, lectures, special arrangements etc. Be there in time! Identification is needed No books or notes are allowed Cheating is investigated and sanctioned Results in approximately three weeks Always contact the teacher in advance!
