Nickel, Nickel, so silvery white, your full of amazement and ever so bright! Your ductile and malleable and ever so fine… Baked beans are so yummy and ever so divine. You are hard and can resist much corrosion and heat, and as elements go, you’re hard to beat. You are used to produce stainless steels and alloys, and also jewellery and coins for all young fellows.

Nickel belongs to the transition metals family and has many brothers and sisters. They have been circled below.

8. Although Nickel has few friends, he loves spending time with Sophie Sulphur, Charlie Chlorine and Ollie Oxygen. When they hang out they are known as water soluble and insoluble nickel compounds.
Nickel also loves to hang out with Izzy iron, Charles Copper, Cyndi Chromium and Zack Zinc. When they hang out they are known as alloys such as coins, jewellery and valves and heat exchangers.
Although Nickel has many brothers and sisters, he is less chemically active and does not easily make friends with other elements.

Knicker Bocker Nickel has many future careers ahead of him that he wishes to pursue.
A career that Nickel is interested in is becoming apart of the desalination plant industry. Desalination plants separates saline water into two streams, one a fresh water stream and the other a concentrate or brime stream.
Another career that Nickel is interested in is opening up his own Baked Beans Factory. Nickel carbonyl is very toxic. Some nickel compounds can cause cancer if the dust is inhaled, and some individuals are allergic to contact with the metal. Nickel cannot be avoided because we take in some nickel compounds with our diet, and it is an essential element for such plants as the navy bean, which is used for baked beans.
Another career Nickel is interested in is opening up his own alloys and stainless steel company, selling coins, cutlery, jewellery, heat exchangers and pipes, saucepans, kitchen sinks, etc.
Another career option for Nickel is to become a rocket engineer.
Another career that Nickel is interested in is opening his own electronic store, selling electronics, power tools, different types of transport, energy power supplies, phones, batteries, CD’S, etc.
