Belt guard Guide post Upper chuck Hold-down table motor
3
The scroll saw is designed to cut sharp curves and angles on both the outside edges and interior sections of a work piece.
4
The blade should be installed in a vertical position with the teeth pointing down.
5
Always make sure all guards are in place before cutting
6
Never allow your fingers to get closer than 2”. Keep your fingers off to the side of the blade, never directly in front of the blade.
7
The hold-down should be resting right on the material being cut.
8
Make sure to unplug the saw when changing the belt to a different pulley.
9
When changing the speed on a variable speed machine it must be running.
10
Always check the blade tension before plugging in the machine.
11
The blade you choose to use depends on several things such as material being cut and thickness of material.
12
Never distract someone working on the machine by talking to them. Keep your work area clean.
13
You can cut bevels on the scroll saw by tilting the table.
14
You can use the scroll saw to cut internal cuts, which is removing material from the inside of the piece.
