From the Ram to the Lamb: Lamb of God Jesus knew he would die: - Luke 9.22: “The Son of Man must suffer many things and be rejected by the elders, chief priests and teachers of the law, and he must be killed and on the third day be raised to life.” - he would die on a cross: - John 12:32: “But I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all men to myself.” - he was sent for just that one purpose: - John 3:16-17: 3:16-17: “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.”
