Check Your Heart A good man produces good deeds from a good heart. And an evil man produces evil deeds from his hidden wickedness. Whatever is in the heart overflows into speech. Luke 6:45 (TLB )

Check Your Heart Another version of the scriptures states: “It is impossible for a good tree to produce bad fruit—as impossible as it is for a bad tree to produce good fruit. Do not men know what a tree is by its fruit? You cannot pick figs from briars, or gather a bunch of grapes from a blackberry bush! A good man produces good things from the good stored up in his heart, and a bad man produce evil things from his own stores of evil. For a man’s words will always express what has been treasured in his heart.” Luke 6:45 Phillips

Check Your Heart What can harden our hearts?

Check Your Heart Check your Heart No one escapes showing their “true colors” during conflicts - no one! This exercise will take some time and effort--but it's more than worth your diligence in drawing closer to Christ, who is faithful in completing HIS work of faith in your life...

Check Your Heart Examine your own heart and behavior 1 “Don’t criticize people, and you will not be criticized. 2.For you will be judged by the way you criticize others, and the measure you give will be the measure you receive.” 3 “Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and fail to notice the plank in your own?

Check Your Heart 4. How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me get the speck out of your eye’, when there is a plank in your own? 5. You fraud! Take the plank out of your own eye first, and then you can see clearly enough to remove your brother’s speck of dust.” Matt. 7”1-5 Phillips

Check Your Heart Corinthians 13:5 Living Bible (TLB) “ 5 Check up on yourselves. Are you really Christians? Do you pass the test? Do you feel Christ’s presence and power more and more within you? Or are you just pretending to be Christians when actually you aren’t at all? “ Confess wrongs done in order for God to forgive you and bring reconciliation to the Body of Christ

Check Your Heart What are some ways we can demonstrate wrong motives of the heart?

Check Your Heart Be willing to repent of wrongs which includes thoughts and/or behavior. Attitudes, words, tones, and behavior communicate what's in your heart. Therefore when any inappropriate thoughts as well as wrong motives and behaviors are communicated we should get it straight with our sister or brother.

Check Your Heart Check Your Heart-Are you really committed to God. Commit your works to the Lord, And your thoughts will be established. Prov. 16:3 How can worry impact your life?

Check Your Heart To commit means in Hebrew “roll your way unto the Lord” To shake off and pass on to Him all the burdens of the anxieties of this life. Ps. 37:5-6 (NKJV)-Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass.

Check Your Heart The meaning is, "Cast thyself and thy life without limits upon God - Give yourself fully to him - look to him for support and guidance. " Trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass. "He will accomplish all that your faith has laid upon him" When we look at the world full of evil-doers, that seem to flourish and live in ease. We are tempted to worry and think they are the only happy people in the world.

Check Your Heart Outward prosperity is fading. When we look forward, with an eye of faith, we shall see no reason to envy the wicked. A man's life consists not in abundance of material things. If you depend on your riches you will be disappointed. Money works all things but it doesn’t give you everything you need.

Check Your Heart Commit our way unto the Lord; roll our way upon the Lord. Cast your burden upon the Lord, the burden of care. We must roll it off ourselves, not afflict and perplex ourselves with thoughts about future events, but refer them to God. By prayer share your cares with the Lord, and trust in him. After we pray leave the situation with God. The promise is very sweet: He shall bring that to pass, whatever it is, which thou has committed to him.

Check Your Heart Jesus said-Let not your heart be troubled, you believe in God, believe also in Me. St John 14:1 Commit thy way unto the Lord." Roll the whole burden of life upon the Lord. Leave with God not only your present fretfulness/fear, but all thy cares; in fact, submit everything to Him. Cast away anxiety, let go of your will, submit your judgment, leave all with the God of all.

Check Your Heart Commit to Him: In adversity as well as in prosperity; In times of affliction, when he is present, and will not forsake; In times of temptation, when his grace is sufficient for them; In times of darkness, when he will arise and appear unto us Check your heart-Are you pouring out your heart before him?

Check Your Heart Commit thy way unto the Lord,.... Or "thy works", as in Proverbs 16:3; that is,Proverbs 16:3 Commit all the affairs and business of this life, It does not mean that we should sit still, be inactive, and do nothing, and leave all to be done by the Lord

Check Your Heart We should seek God first for direction in everything we engage in. Ask Him for strength, assistance to perform it and walk in what He told us to do. Depend upon Him for success, and give Him all the glory. Don’t Worry. Commit and cast your cares on Him.
