TS text structure example To reflect the management architecture proposed (in either option 1 or 2), CSF description text can be structured as follows: 6.2.x.1General Concepts » figure with architectural structure decided upon (i.e. slide3/4 or slide 5) » High-level description of the Services (i.e. DCS or equivalent, FMS or equivalent, etc). As such the description is not individualized for each managed entity, but it can refer to them. Specific text proposals in slides 6 and 7. 6.2.x.2Detailed Descriptions » 6.2.x.2.y Sub-sections for services » 6.2.x.2.y.z Service functionality by managed entity Proposed skeleton for the TS text on management CSF(s) attached:

Proposed high level descriptions of services for section 6.2.x.1 (2) Firmware Management Service (FMS): This service provides the lifecycle management for firmware components and associated artifacts for [TBD set of managed entities] Software Management Service (SMS): This service provides the software lifecycle management for software components and associated artifacts for [TBD set of managed entities] Topology Management Service (TMS): This service provides the management of the topology of the M2M Area Network.

New Opt3: Modular Management CSFs CSF Editor’s Note: Final division of the CSFs is FFS, keeping however a high degree of modularity/granularity. CSF
10
New Opt4: Management CSFs by service levels Editor’s Note: One CSF per service type. Managed entities are specified though the “service level”. However, levels are not equivalent with entities, just correlated. Other service levels could be defined, and service levels for non-management CSFs might have nothing to do with entities
