3. 3 CAPACITY BUILDING AND ADVOCACY Expanding, strengthening, and capacitating stakeholders towards a reform agenda. Bantay Kita intensified its efforts in capacitating and engaging with various stakeholders at the international, national, and local level. We continue to expand our reach in the many issues involving the extractive industry.

4. 4 INTERNATIONAL INITIATIVES In 2015, Bantay Kita was involved in 19 international activities in the form of organization, support, presentation, and/or attendance. BK presented in 12 events, participated in 7, and organized 1.

11. 11 SUBNATIONAL INITIATIVES In 2015, Bantay Kita reached out to indigenous peoples, local government units, regional offices, and other civil society organizations in our bid to epand our network and build more capacity in the subnational level. BK had 41 subnational activities. BK organized and presented in 27 of them, supported 8 and participated in 4.

21. 21 TOOLS AND THEIR IMPLEMENTATION The MTI aims to gauge the level of disclosure in the mining industry. It aims to evaluate and rank mining companies and government agencies in terms of disclosures available in the public domain. The Mining Monitoring Tools is a set of questionnaires that is aimed to gather information and documents from mining companies and government agencies. Several modules are available for each phase of the mining cycle. Database of Mining Companies is up in the BK website. It gives an insight on all existing mining tenements in the country along with the type of commodity, date granted, and under what phase the mining project is currently in.
