IV. Translate the words: Indicating devices, additional equipment, lubricating system, tank carrier, timing gear, windshield wipers, generator, clutch, spark plug, heater, lightning system, brakes, cylinder, crankshaft, manifold, concrete mixer, internal combustion engine, connecting rod, piston ring, gasket, bearing, fuel injection, bottom dead center, logging truck.

V. Find mistakes in spelling: Abcorber angine pyston Abcorber angine pyston sylinder spack sistem sylinder spack sistem suspenshen brackes veekle suspenshen brackes veekle shassis shassis

VI. Match the word and its definition: 1. Vehicle a. a process of delivering oil to the friction metal surfaces during its operation. 2. Engine b. a distance traveled by the piston in t t t the cylinder. 3. Body c. a mechanism that insures the inlet of the fuel-air mixture and the outlet of the burnt gases 4. Spark plug d. a machine for generating power. 5. Generator e. a mechanism used for accumulating energy. 6. Frame f. a detail used for sparking the fuel-air mixture. 7. Working fluid g. the hull of a vehicle ship. 8. Stroke h. it mounts the truck units and mechanisms. 9. Lubrication i. a transport provided with wheels and used for carrying people and weights 10. Timing gear j. a mixture of fuel, air and burnt gases.

VII. Make sentences by putting the words in the right word order: Passenger cars, for transporting, and, designed, persons, are. The vehicle, is, power, the engine. The ignition, the electric, that, the mixture, provides, ignites, system, spark. The internal, move, of power, combustion, makes, engine, that, is, the car, the source. All, according, gasoline, to, engines, the four-cycle, are, principle, operating.

VIII. Translate the text: When valve knocking is heard it is necessary to check, and if needed, to adjust the clearance between the valve and rocker arms that must be within the limits of 0,25 to 0,3 mm both for intake and exhaust valves. The clearance in the timing gear must be adjusted on a cold engine by means of an adjusting screw with a lock nut. To adjust the clearance of the timing gear it is necessary to set the piston of the cylinder in the top dead center. A continuous operation with the incorrectly adjusted clearance may cause a premature wear of the timing gear parts, burning of the valves, wear of the rocker arms, tappets and cams.
