Viking Craftsmen Skilled craftworkers in Jorvik made things that Vikings needed (they were called craftsmen). A family could buy a cooking pot, a pair of shoes, a new padlock for the family store-chest, or a brooch. They were called many different names and fulfilled many jobs: Blacksmiths Saddlers Shoe-makers Jewellers Potters Woodworkers

Glossary Artefacts- Something made or given shape by man, such as a tool or a work of art, (an object of archaeological interest.) Delicate- Easily damaged. Cauldron- A pot for boiling. Padlocks- A large pot used for boiling, esp one with handles Fufilled- To carry out or execute.
