Why Chile? Chilean Study Tour 2016

Why Chile? Alumni “I have kept in touch with 3 of the alumni and am even considering relocating to Santiago.”

Why Chile: Alumni “Loyola’s Chilean alums and the access and genuine connection they provide.” “Their knowledge allowed us to have some guidance to go out on our own and see Chile with our own eyes.”

Why Chile: Site Visits “The relationship the teachers have made with these companies allowing us to do things no one else would be allowed to do.”

Why Chile: Site Visits “We got to see how what we are learning is actually used by companies.” “Nothing you read in a book could come close to the first-hand experience we got in Chile!”

Why Chile: Site Visits “The site visits --- by far!!!”

Why Chile: Site Visits “Real life application of what we learned in class.” “The major strength of the tour was the excellent site visits which supplemented what we learned in Maryland!”

Why Chile: Site Visits “The inside access to the companies and their senior managers. This access is not easily attainable and is a precious experience and insight into how these firms “think” and function.”

Why Chile: Life-long friendships “The major strength of the tour was providing an opportunity for all classmates to get to know each other and their professors more.” “The biggest strengths are developing friendships and building a connection to the university.”

Why Chile: Life-long friendships “My favorite part of the trip was having the opportunity to bond with my classmates. After the first day, it was like we all were long time friends.”

Why Chile: Life-long friendships “The class is one of the only classes in the MBA program where you actually got to interact with the instructors and your classmates on a personal level. I learned a lot but also made personal connections and new friends.” “Another thing is the network you gain back in MD. Since the tour has been carried out for so many years, the alumni of the trip include several hundred people.” “I think the major strength of the tour was providing an opportunity for all classmates to get to know each other and their professors more. I feel like I have a new group of friends after this tour.”

Why Chile: Cultural Immersion “We worked hard and learned a TON, but we also had some time for cultural immersion, which was by far the best part.”
