Common Differences Between Honors Classes and Regular Classes could include... Weighted Grades: 75% or more of 9-week grade from tests/quizzes/projects Tests: Primarily composed of open-ended, higher-order thinking questions Workload: Additional work/outside reading to develop higher-level thinking skills

4. Elective Choices Choose from courses offered Number electives on your registration form in order of preference NOTE: For electives offered to 7 th and 8 th graders, 8 th graders might have priority. However, some classes fill quickly so no elective can be guaranteed to any student. The following slides are common elective choices Look for courses that are specific to WP8. Semester only classes are noted, be sure to pair them with another semester class. Electives that are offered at all middle schools do not have a school listed beside them. Green Power isn’t listed yet, but will be offered at WP8. Placement guidelines apply, there is an application involved. Write it in on the registration form if you are interested in taking it.

DEADLINES It is VERY important that you follow all deadlines for getting paperwork turned in. Registration form is due back March 18 th. If you change your mind after you turn in your registration form, DON’T PANIC. Your parent can still make changes until May 15, 2015.
