Isoroku Yamamoto Admiral of the Imperial Japanese Navy 1884- ?

Intelligence/Strengths Modernized Japanese navel force Attended a US navel academy Lead the Japanese invasion of the Oceanic islands - Modernized by replacing out of date carrier based bombers, fighters and his navel support ships with more up to date models and improved the design Has knowledge of American tactics and preferences toward battle. Also lead the attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7 th 1941

Battle Preferences Yamamoto seems to prefer using the tactical advantages of an Aircraft carrier, rather than what most officers prefer, the Battleship. Yamamoto seems to believe that by using aircraft carriers you can disable other ships then use battleships to pound what's left of the navel force and sink the enemy navy through air support and long range bombardment, never having to risk losing a carrier or destroyer.

Midway

Weaknesses Due to Yamamoto’s radical ways of leading his forces, may officers under him do not agree with his policies. Due to the lack of close combat of Yamamoto’s fleet, they are ill experienced with ship-to-ship combat and may be ill equipped. Yamamoto will be visiting the Philippines to help boost morale of the Japanese army after the loss at Guadalcanal, he will be traveling by G4M “Betty” bombers, they will be sitting ducks for our P-38 “Lightning” Fighters.

Battle Plan: Operation Vengeance, April 18, 1943

Future plans If the Japanese navy loses its Admiral, the army forces lead under Douglas McArthur can successfully continue their island hopping campaign up to the Japanese mainland, while Admiral Nimitz will obliterate what’s left of the Japanese navy after the American victory at Midway and allow us to end this war with much fewer casualties than if Yamamoto was allowed to live.
