Samui Small asset tracking and security tag The Samui is a small-sized active identification tag for tracking and security purposes. The Samui™ has a flanged enclosure that can easily be fixed to various types of assets. Its weight is less than 25g. The tag uses the 2.4 GHz ISM band and has a range of up to 80 metres. The Samui can be configured to beacon mode (TTF) or wake-up mode (RTF). In beacon mode, the tag will send its UID in regular intervals, or immediately upon alert conditions. In wake-up mode the tag will not send anything unless commanded by an authorised reader, which for instance is useful for air- transportation. The optional motion sensor can be programmed for multiple uses, including reducing activity when the tag is stationary, detect unwanted movements and detecting shocks. The Samui is intended to be used together with TM700 series RFIDS™ readers. It has an ergonomic design suitable for wrist or ankle yet rugged and shower-proof. The built- in motion sensor can give information about movement as well as violence and fall detection. Helena’s ultra low power radio will transmit its unique ID in regular intervals. This allows the estimation of an approximate position of the tag and its carrier as well as providing a record of movements. If the tag has been locked to a person, it cannot be removed without triggering alert message. Likewise, an attempt to destroy the tag or move the tag outside the range of the RFID readers can be detected. The 3- axes motion sensor makes it possible to detect abuse, violence and falls. The Helena is intended to be used together with TM700 series RFIDS™ readers forming a wireless fence. Pharos Pick-to-light tag The Pharos pick-to-light tag utilises light, and optionally sound, to find an object fast. In a typical case, items would be tagged with Pharos tags. A picker would select an item from an electronic pick-list on a handheld. Rough co-ordinates would be provided; and the application would send a command to the Pharos tag to indicate its location. Using light and sound as guidance for locating and picking assets is a proven method of improving productivity, including reduced time-to-pick and reduced errors. Pharos is suitable for implementing pick-to-light applications when the inventory is stored in zones or ad-hoc. With the optional motion sensor, the Pharos can also serve as a movement monitoring device. The motion sensor can check if an asset is moved when not expected or authorised, upon which it can send alert message to the reader(s) and/or start buzzing. Pharos is intended to be used together with TM700 series RFIDS™ readers. It is intended for fixed installations. Orust acts as a sensor ‘tag’ in the RFIDS™ system. The sensors included are a PIR motion sensor to detect people or vehicles moving, a vibration sensor, an audio detector to detect voices or other noise and a light sensor to detect any unexpected light in a dark room. The use and threshold values of each sensor can be configured. When used together with TM700 series RFIDS™ readers, the Orust reports any activity in its sensitive sector by raising the device status flag just as other RFIDS™ sensor tags. With this information the application logic can determine needed actuations such as triggering alerts, cameras, HVAC etc. A typical scenario is in a secure room to which only authorised personnel have access. Activity detectors are installed to watch over entrances and critical zones. Authorised personnel are fitted with personnel tags, e.g. of the Edam, Lean or Buckle types. If the system receives activity detected status from an Orust, but does not sense a corresponding presence of a personnel tag, the application can decide that there is a security breach and trigger alarm.
