Higher Apprentices Successful in Round 1 Unique in supporting a region rather than a sector Collaboration £1.1m available to support development and awareness 600 places to be created in 3 years Follow approved frameworks of learning Includes work based competence and knowledge

Higher Apprentices Available in: Engineering – Level 4 – currently Accounting Business and Administration Construction IT and Telecoms Management and Leadership All eligible to study these frameworks, but only some are eligible for support towards costs from NAS

Contact College if interested in recruiting or placing existing staff on programme Team will visit and look at job roles being undertaken Learning programme matched to job Assessments made against work in workplace Knowledge training is delivered at College / UWE Funding for fees accessed as appropriate

Recruiting Apprentices Apprenticeship College staff are a dedicated recruitment team for new vacancies All posts are advertised on National Apprenticeship Website Pre selection – match applicants prior to interview Initial Assessment – testing levels of Maths and English Support for interviews Briefing for existing staff if starting Apprenticeship Support with SWAC model

What is SWAC? South West Apprenticeship Company (SWAC) Employs Apprentices and hires them back to host companies Company pays salary plus £35 per week fee Apprentice attends City of Bristol College as any other Apprentice Available to support Apprentices at all levels
