STANDARD COMPARISON (ELEMENTARY MATH) 2003 2 nd Grade SCOS  3.01: Combine simple figures to create a given shape.  3.02: Describe the change in attributes as two- and three-dimensional figures are cut and rearranged. Grade 2 CCSS Math Standards Reason with shapes and their attributes. 2.G.1 Recognize and draw shapes having specified attributes, such as a given number of angles or a given number of equal faces. 2.G.2: Partition a rectangle into rows and columns of same-size squares and count to find the total number of them. 2.G.3: Partition circles and rectangles into two, three, or four equal shares, describe the shares using the words haves, thirds, half of, a third of, etc, and describe the whole as two halves, three thirds, four fourths. Recognize that equal shares of identical wholes need not have the same shape.

G-SRT 7: Explain and use the relationship between the sine and cosine of complimentary angles G-SRT 8: Use trigonometric ratios and the Pythagorean Theorem to solve right triangles in applied problems.*
