2. Introduction to racism in the USA Racism in the United States has been a major issue since the colonial era and the slave era. Legally sanctioned racism imposed a heavy burden on Native Americans, African Americans, Asian Americans, and Latin Americans. European Americans were privileged by law in matters of literacy, immigration, voting rights, citizenship, land acquisition, and criminal procedure Many non-Protestant European immigrant groups, particularly Jews, Irish people, Poles and Italians, suffered xenophobic exclusion and other forms of discrimination in American society.

3. Examples of such events A Good example of such events is the movie called “The help”, The story is about African-American maids working in white households in Jackson, Mississippi, during the early 1960s.

For example: They have difference buses; one for african american and another for white people. Another example that African American women did not go to school because they have to learn how to treat her boss. And white women have a common typical life. African American men used to work in industries for long hours.

Conclusion We think that in the past, African Americans people should have the same rights than white people because they are people like us, but another skin colour, shape of the eyes, nationality, religion, economic situation, etc. Now-a-days, racism is also alive because, for example, in the usa when people see a black person, scares or think things bad about him or her.
