15 Two-Pronged Approach 2.) Organizational Framework Trauma not only impacts our clients but also our staff. The way that we handle organizational change can contribute to staff stress and burnout. January 2016- National Council for Behavioral Health  Consultants lead a review of organizational processes and procedures in order to reduce staff stress and burnout and to help us build a safe and trusting environment for all employees. 2.) 17 Why an Agency model too? To offer our clients a range of trauma-informed services through knowledgeable, skilled, and culturally respectful staff To address trauma-related adaptations and difficulties. We want our policy and procedures to be informed by the experience and perspectives of consumers and would like to involve them as employees/volunteers/advocates. We want to ensure that our social and physical environment promotes healing and avoids re- traumatizing clients. We want to create an environment that supports staff who may experience work stress and vicarious trauma. We want to use data to monitor and sustain our improvements.
