5 Chico State’s CSU Grant-Funded Project Sharing on Chico’s TAP 1 success.  Offered $1,000 per faculty for participation.  Recruited one TAP Faculty Fellow.  Support Team: Librarians, TLP, CELT, AeL, Faculty Fellow, Bookstore.  Offered SoftChalk to authors of e-Texts. 10 Estimated Chico Savings  Twelve projects = estimated savings to Chico State Students of $213,774 for next AY.  The saving to each student is between $57 to $180 per semester with this group.  Investment from faculty = time and learning new ways to prepare course materials.  SoftChalk is chosen tool for writing and developing new course materials.

11 SoftChalk adoptions at CSU pricing  1 in Animal Science  3 in Nursing  1 in Nutrition and Food Science  2 in Nutrition and Food Science are writing their own textbook with Kona Publishing.

12  Variety of project solutions, most are avoiding an expensive textbook, and rather are locating online resources, or open educational resources with librarian help.  One tried and true model is this from Steve Stewart, our alumnus from last year, and this year’s Faculty Fellow.
