Rapid Changes to the Earth’s Surface As you watch the short video clips and look at the pictures, think about how rapid changes such as volcanoes, landslides and earthquakes change the surface of the earth. You will need to complete a diagram of a volcano. You will need to identify how the earth changes as a result of volcanoes, landslides and earth quakes, and you will need to complete a graphic organizer to show your knowledge.
2
VOLCANOES Watch the video on volcanoes and the structure of volcanoes. http://safeshare.tv/v/s2i4XS0Esks http://safeshare.tv/v/tJ_mgONXyjQ

LANDSLIDES Watch this video and look for how landslides changed the landscape. http://safeshare.tv/v/ss56b2881c5f94c Fill out the graphic organizer with your observations. Before and after pictures and brief explanation Watch the following to see how you could test what happens during landslide. What do you notice when water is poured on the 2 dioramas? Why does that happen. How would that affect the landscape? http://safeshare.tv/v/6tSnA9I6uL4

Earth Quakes Watch the following http://safeshare.tv/v/FIgksa3x11w Using Graham Crackers and rice to replicate the experiment for how the earth moves during earthquakes. Watch the following clip which shows effects on human structures. What would happen to the landscape? http://safeshare.tv/v/ss56b2917763db0
