Ensure a safe and healthy community through:  Enforcement of Environmental Health codes  Implementation of Community Health Programs  Animal Control Programs  Emergency Preparedness Grant

3 Mandated Programs Continue to support mandated environmental health programs such as:  Food Protection Program  Housing  Swimming Pool Facilities  Body Art Establishments  Tanning Establishments  Animal Control Program  Lead Paint  Indoor Air Quality  Tobacco Control  Communicable Disease Reporting

4 Non-mandated Programs Mosquito Control Household Hazardous Products Collection Medical Waste Collection Program Flu Vaccine Distribution Grant Initiatives Nuisance Program Hazardous Materials Establishment Program Asbestos Abatement Review

5 FY16 Goals and Objectives-Environmental Food Safety/Inspection Research electronic inspection programs Enhance food safety education program Revamp mobile food program schedule Farmers market – revisit standards

6 FY16 Goals and Objectives-Environmental Tobacco Control 5-Community Tobacco Control Program Education and enforcement of newly amended tobacco regulation to include electronic cigarettes and flavored tobacco Tobacco compliance checks Tobacco retail establishment inspections

11 FY16 Goals and Objectives-Grant Initiatives Risk Factor Screening and Referral Service Project Watertown Community Foundation First Part:  Promote and offer screening services  Refer at risk participants to primary care provider for further evaluation Second Part:  Provide education and continuing screening services for participants who were referred to primary care provider

12 FY16 Goals and Objectives-Grant Initiatives Marshall Home Fund-Compassionate Connections V o Decluttering, organizing and support services for elders o Watertown Task Force o Hoarding awareness education to first responders o Community awareness lectures on “What is Hoarding” and “How to Help” o Continue to provide professional organizer and social worker to assist residents with hoarding conditions
