Introduction. Jackie Robinson was a great baseball player. He had a difficult childhood. He changed baseball.

Jackie Robinsons childhood. Jackie Robinson had a difficult childhood. He was born on January 31 1919 and his dad left him when he was a baby. He moved to Pasadena California so his mother can work as a housekeeper for other families.

Jackie Robinson played sports in high school. HHe played football, basketball, and baseball. He also ran track. When he was 8 his mother made him a ball out of socks. He practiced hitting the ball with a stick.

Jackie Robinson had a professional career He first played for the Kansas City Monarchs which was an all white team because whites and black's could not play together. Then Mr. Rickey hired him to play for the Brooklyn Dodgers which was an all white team. The other people did not like Jackie then Pee Wee showed his respect for him. He played for then 10 years and won a lot of awards.

conclusion Jackie Robinson is a hero. He played on an all white team and he stood up for him self.
