Integrate Data from disparate sources are combined to form one data set that can be analysed Data sets might be integrated for verification new studies comparative/collaborative studies Contextual information by metadata is essential for integration

Integrate 1.Manage your data properly (with re-use in mind) 2.Understand the new data Suitable for required purpose? Use visualisation and aggregation, e.g. geographic maps, descriptive statistics 3.Agree on semantics during the ‘collect’ and ‘describe’ stages to facilitate integration later 4.Ensure that formats and parameters are compatible (datum, resolution, metric units)

Integrate 5.Document relationships among data sets from different sources. 6.Use unique identifiers to prevent duplication of used data set. 7.Document data integration process (script, workflow), describe it in metadata. Document your data analysis.
