what is cloud Computing? Cloud computing involves delivering hosted services over the internet. These services are divided into 3 categories. 1. Infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) 2. Platform-as-a-service (PaaP) 3.Software-as-a-service (SaaS)
4
Infrastructure-as-as-service (Iaas) IaaS is a provision model where an organization outsources things such as : Storage, Hardware, Servers and Networking components. The client generally pays on a “Per-use” basis.
5
Platform-as-a-service (Paas) PaaS is means of renting hardware, operating systems, storage and network capacity via the internet. The Service delivery model lets the customer rent virtualized servers and associated servers so that they can run applications or develop new ones.
6
Software-as-a-service (Saas) SaaS is a software distribution model where applications are hosted by a vendor or service provider and made available to the customer over the internet.
7
How much does cloud computing cost? The cost of cloud computing varies depending on what you are looking for. People often pay either by the month or by the hour. Cloud computing can cost anywhere from a few hundred to a few thousand dollars per month, or anywhere from 10 - 50 cents per hour.
8
How is cloud computing Used? Cloud Computing is no longer just a theory. There are multiple providers in business today. The business will probably start growing as soon as people see how much they could save and how much it can do for them. cloud computing environments can be private or public.
9
How it works
10
Advantages of cloud computing Cloud computing is a way to reduce the complexity and cost that comes with traditional information technology (I.T.) approaches. It is responsible for faster delivery of higher-value products and services. Allows small businesses to compete with large corporations more effectively. Lowers your costs;the customer only pays for what they use. speed and time to market; can get a server up and running in a matter of minutes.
11
Disadvantages Security and privancy are one of the major disadvantages of cloud computing. The customer may not feel comfortable giving its data to a third party. the customer must depend on the cloud service provider to be honest and fair, because everything is in their hands.
12
Conclusion In my opinion cloud computing is a very valuable and innovative resource that can help a lot of different businesses, especially small or new businesses that would otherwise be completely over-shadowed by large corporations. It is cost effective and easy to use. Therefore i would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a simple and inexpensive way to run their business.
