JANOG Update 16 Statistical Summary attendees –66% are repeaters, 33% are newcomers regardless of occupation –many newcomers among 20’s –but most newcomers are 30’s designers and operators comprise 45% designers or operators of Communication carriers, ISPs, System Integrators are typical attendees

JANOG Update 17 Some Thoughts... 3/10 are newcomers, 7/10 are repeaters main repeaters are 30’s-designers/operators –I belong to “30’s-planning / survey researchers” Hope to get our information to... –those who cannot participate the meeting continuously –younger staff members who have to yield janog attendance to their boss –server engineers (i.e. other than network engineers) –those who don’t know JANOG –of course, overseas as well
