What to bring to registration: Eye, Ear, and Dental Exam Social Security Card Birth Certificate Updated Immunization Record Utility Bill (June/July) ID (parent/guardian)

ELA & Reading Letter recognition Letter sounds Sight words Blend and segment words Respond to comprehensive questions about stories read aloud. Understand parts of a book.

Writing Narrative writing- Write four sentences about any topic and describe how you feel. Informative writing- Explain how-to do something. Persuasive writing- Persuade the reader.

Math Number recognition to 20 (or more) Shapes Measurement Count to 100 Addition and subtraction Write numbers to 20

Science Plants Animals Living vs. Non-living Day vs. Night Rocks and soil

Social Studies Understand holidays American Symbols Community helpers Use words and phrases related to chronology (first, next, last)

Daily Schedule Each day we teach phonics, guided reading interventions, writer’s workshop, math, social studies, science. We also go to activity (music or P.E.), recess, and centers.

Supply List Basic Needs: 3 boxes (24 count) regular crayons 1 plastic handle scissors with metal blades 15 glue sticks (community use) 1 small (5x8) plastic school box with snap lid 1 set of watercolors 1 box of classic color washable markers 1 composition book (no spirals please) 1 green plastic pocket folder with prongs 2 packs of No. 2 wood pencils (community use) 1 pack of Expo Markers (community use) 1 bottle of hand soap (community use) 1 big pink eraser 1 extra change of clothes in a ziplock baggie 1 regular size book bag is required Greatly Appreciated Donated Items: These items will be for classroom use 1 box of facial tissue 1 box of gallon size ziplock bags, BOYS ONLY 1 box of quart size ziplock bags, GIRLS ONLY 2 containers of Disinfectant wipes 1 package of index cards 1 box of band-aids
