Cyberbullying is the use of technology to harass, threaten, embarrass, or target another person.
11
Dealing with Cyberbullying Stop Don’t respond to the bully. Victims often want to befriend the bully to solve the problem or even worse they want to retaliate. Block Block the cyber bully or limit all communications to those you can trust. This is especially effective with bullying in chat rooms, Instant messaging, and email. Tell Tell a trusted adult. The messages posted by the cyberbully are often vulgar or embarrassing. Victims often keep the bullying a secret for this reason. If you are bullied online: Do not erase the evidence!
12
Before you send hurtful, harmful, or threatening messages to someone: Stop Drop Think Step away from the computer or other digital media. All conversations with everyone especially those who are encouraging you. Find a way to calm down: shoot hoops, run, exercise, take a bath, take a nap, etc.

What is a Online PREDATOR? Bad people called online predators can watch and read your information. Don’t give predators any reason to contact you.

Long-Term Consequences It is essential that you understand the Internet is visible to everyone, everywhere. Anything you posts on your page could possibly be viewed by anyone in the world. It is easy to feel like what you are posting is only going to be viewed by your own friends, but in reality, nothing could be further from the truth. Be sure you do not post anything on your profile page that you wouldn't want to show Grandma or the school principal. Pictures and comments could come back to haunt you years later when you are applying to colleges or looking for a job. Whenever something is posted, it's forever, because other people can download it and save it. It is important to note: Potential employers, local and state police, and administrators can log onto these on-line social networks and view the information that students make available. Students Beware, the information you post may jeopardize your future aspirations.
