4.  Refers to those with various visual disabilities ◦ Partially sighted ◦ Low Vision ◦ Legally Blind ◦ Totally Blind  Various tools developed to aid those with visual impairments

5.  Tools created to aid those with disabilities  Many free tools built into the operating system  Look into some of them

7.  A central location to access accessibility settings  Start button -> Control Panel -> Ease of Access -> Ease of Access Center.

8.  Narrator is a screen reader in Windows.  Start button -> Control Panel -> Ease of Access -> Ease of Access Center -> Use the computer without a display -> Turn on Narrator  Audio Description describes videos  Start button -> Control Panel -> Ease of Access ->Ease of Access Center, -> Use the computer without a display -> Turn on Audio Description.

9.  Magnifies the screen.  Start button -> Control Panel -> Ease of Access -> Ease of Access Center -> Make the computer easier to see -> Select the option Turn on Magnifier

10.  Displays a visual keyboard  Start button -> Control Panel -> Ease of Access -> Ease of Access Center-> Use the computer without a mouse or keyboard -> Use the on-screen keyboard.

11.  Interact with the computer with your voice.  Start button -> Control Panel -> Ease of Access -> Ease of Access Center, -> Use the computer without a mouse or keyboard -> Use Speech Recognition

13.  Uses speech to describe what is happening on the computer.  Apple Menu -> System Preferences -> universal access to display its preferences -> seeing tab -> On radio button below VoiceOver to enable it -> Open VoiceOver Utility button to customize VoiceOver.

14.  Screen Magnification and Cursor Magnification  Apple Menu -> System Preferences -> Seeing Tab -> Turn on Zoom

15.  Onscreen Keyboard  Apple Menu -> System Preferences -> Language & Text -> Input Sources -> checkbox “Keyboard & Character Viewer”

16.  Speech Recognition software  Speech System Preferences Pane -> Speech Recognition Tab -> Settings subtab ->On button for Speakable items ->choose microphone from the mic pop-up menu.
