2. Katy Gray Jamie Knight  Jamie is a field forester for Oregon Department of Forestry in La Grande, Oregon. Additionally, she acts as the Public Information Officer, a SEAT Base Manager and an Aerial Detection Observer for her district. Her career with ODF started in 2000 as a firefighter on an engine crew. She holds two degrees in forestry and wildfire management. In 2013, the American Tree Farm System recognized her as the National Outstanding Inspector of the Year for her exceptional on-the-ground efforts to promote forestry education and stewardship as well as her commitment to support family forest owners across the United States.  Katy is the Public Affairs Officer and Type II (t) PIO for the Wallowa-Whitman National Forest headquartered in Baker City, Oregon. Katy is also a Lieutenant Commander in US Navy Reserve station at Navy Operation Center, Boise, Idaho and serves as a PAO with the Navy Office of Community Outreach. Following 4 years of active duty Katy began her career with the Forest Service in 2011 on the Umatilla NF as the Conservation Education & Partnership Coordinator where she was honored as the top outreach coordinator for region 6 in 2013. She joined the Wallowa-Whitman NF in June 2015. Katy obtained her degree in Forest Recreation Management from Oregon State University in 2007.
