Endangered animals What word do you hear in the word “endangered”? That’s right, “danger.” endangered animals are in danger of becoming extinct. This means that one day these animals may be gone forever. There are many reasons that some animals are endangered. Some animals are killed for their body parts. African elephants are killed for their tusks. People make jewelry from their tusks. Some animals are endangered because people destroy their homes. People use land that tigers need to live and grow. There are laws that help protect these animals. One day these animals may no longer be in danger.

Wolves can run well in the snow because they have big, wide feet that keep them from sinking. 4.If a wolf did not have strong jaws and large teeth, it could not capture and kill its prey. A wolf uses its jaw to grasp its prey. The wolf’s large teeth allow the wolf to cut the flesh and grind what it eats.
