Largest Land Slide in North America In the 1980’s, Salt lake had one of the biggest landslides in north America. It had injured one person and damaged much of the forest in the mountains.

“There can never be a tornado in Utah!...can there be?” On august 11 1999, a weak but strong tornado wiped throughout Salt Lake City taking 1 persons life, injuring more than 80 people and also creating 170 million dollars worth of damage.

Earthquake! In 1904, Salt Lake city had a earthquake that bent trees down, split the roads right in half, biggest earth quake in Utah history was in 1934in March, 12 1999 at 15:05pm and the magnitude was 6.6, two of peoples lives were taken.

Droughts and Floods 5 major floods have happened in 1952, 1965, 1983, 1966, 1984. Salt Lake also had 6 droughts which happened in 1896-1905, 1930-36, 1953-65, 1974-78, 1988-93,1999-2002. These times for farmers which that’s all covered Utah.
