1. Immanuel: God With Us "The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel" – which means, "God with us." –Matthew 1:23

2. There are not saviors–there is The Savior, Jesus "She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins." –Matthew 1:21

3. There are not redeemers– there is The Redeemer, Jesus Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: "Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree." –Galatians 3:13

4. There may be many lords; there is only one Lord of Lords–Jesus and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. –Philippians 2:11

5. There are many kings, but Jesus is The King of Kings which God will bring about in his own time–God, the blessed and only Ruler, the King of kings and Lord of lords, –1 Timothy 6:15

6. There are many kings, but Jesus is The King of Kings On his robe and on his thigh he has this name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS. –Revelation 19:16

7. If only my Dad would step out of that picture and be real GOD BECAME FLESH–HE IS IMMANENT

8. The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. –John 1:14 GOD BECAME FLESH–HE IS IMMANENT

9. GOD BECAME FLESH–HE UNDERSTANDS US  He "feels with us."  An example of compassion

10. GOD BECAME FLESH–HE UNDERSTANDS US  He "feels with us." "O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you, how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing. –Matt. 23:37

11. GOD BECAME FLESH–HE UNDERSTANDS US  He understands what it means to be tempted Because he himself suffered when he was tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted. –Heb. 2:18

12. GOD BECAME FLESH–HE UNDERSTANDS US  He understands what it means to be tempted For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are–yet was without sin. –Hebrews 4:15

GOD BECAME FLESH–HE UNDERSTANDS US  He understands what it means to be tempted During the days of Jesus' life on earth, he offered up prayers and petitions with loud cries and tears to the one who could save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverent submission. Although he was a son, he learned obedience from what he suffered. –Hebrews 5:7-8

14. GOD BECAME FLESH–WE CAN IDENTIFY WITH GOD.  We have touched Him  That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked at and our hands have touched–this we proclaim concerning the Word of life. –1 John 1:1

15. GOD BECAME FLESH–WE CAN IDENTIFY WITH GOD. Emmanuel, Emmanuel. His name is called Emmanuel. God with us; revealed in us. His name is called Emmanuel.

16. BECAUSE GOD BECAME FLESH,  WE KNOW HE IS NEAR.  WE KNOW HE UNDER- STANDS US.  WE IDENTIFY WITH HIM–WE CAN REALLY KNOW HIM
